What it does
A quoting product for a luxury charter broker. A request comes in with guests, dates, region and budget. Matching yachts are pulled with their availability. For each one, the quote applies the right season rate for the dates, the advance provisioning allowance (APA) for fuel, food and port fees, VAT for the cruising area, and delivery or redelivery fees if the client wants to board away from the yacht's base. The broker picks three options, checks the numbers, and sends a branded proposal.
The problem
Each quote meant checking availability by email, looking up rate sheets, and working out APA, VAT and delivery fees by hand. A proposal took a day or two, and wealthy clients went with whichever broker replied first.
Approach
Every yacht's season rates, base port and fees are stored once. Rules apply the APA percentage, VAT by cruising area and delivery fees, so every quote is complete and comparable. The broker always reviews before sending, and the proposal states what is included, what the APA covers and that the final availability is confirmed with the yacht.
