Multi-platform publishing automation

Takes one approved piece of content and publishes it correctly to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, each in its own format, then confirms it actually went live.

What it does

A publishing automation for an agency that posts for many clients. An approved content item is checked against each platform's rules: aspect ratio and length for reels and Shorts, caption limits, hashtags, link handling and title length. Captions are adapted per platform, the post is scheduled for that client's best time, and the publishing step runs through an automation service. The platform's reply is captured: the live URL when it works, the reason and a retry when it fails. A dry-run mode tests everything without posting.

The problem

Posting the same content four times by hand took hours each week, mistakes like a cropped reel or a cut-off caption went live, and failed posts were only noticed when the client asked where their post was.

Approach

Platform rules are checked before scheduling, not after a post fails. Only content a manager has approved can enter the queue. Every publish waits for the platform's confirmation and stores the live link; failures retry once, then alert the team. Dry-run mode lets new clients and new formats be tested without anything going public.
